During this time of crisis and uncertainty the church is called to faith, hope and love...

just like it has been for centuries.

Safety/Personal Protection

  • Physical distancing is strongly encouraged.  This is defined as “avoiding close contact with those outside one’s household.”  Close contact generally means avoiding being within 6 feet of another person who is not of the same household.
  • State restrictions on gatherings of people – currently 25% of building capacity or a 100-person maximum, whichever is lower – applies to churches and must be strictly enforced.
  • Hand sanitization stations will be readily available in restrooms and entry/exit points.
  • Facial coverings are required.  Please bring your personal protection items with you as the church has a limited supply.  Face masks and gloves will be provided upon request.
  • Those who are 65 years old or older; have serious underlying medical conditions; or have a compromised immune system should consider remaining at home and join us for online services.
  • Covid19 guidelines are posted
  • Room occupancies are posted

Entry/Exit

  • Entry/exit doors will be propped open whenever possible in order to avoid touching door surfaces.

Cleaning

  • Thorough cleaning will be executed in high traffic areas such as lobby, halls, sanctuary, meeting rooms, classrooms, restrooms, offices, and areas of ingress and egress.  Commonly used surfaces including doorknobs, restroom facilities, podiums, counters, tables, donation boxes and seating areas will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

  • Restroom facilities and door handles, push plates, and knobs will be sanitized before and after each service.

  • Tablecloths will be changed between services

MARCH 18, 2020

In line with the Orange County announcement yesterday, Wednesday 17th (what is essentially a modified “shelter in place” order), Watermark is encouraging all households to remain at home with family members and as-need relatives only.

While this feels like a dramatic step and such a loss of personal freedom we believe that this short-term discomfort will lead to long-term success in terms of overcoming this virus.

Our decision to comply with the county is not just based on duty alone-its definitely not based on fear-but rather love!

We believe there are two distinct ways the church can present the Gospel in love during this season.
#1 is practicing social distancing. This cause is worth the effort because, even though we may not fear getting sick ourselves, our acts of discipline now will have a causative affect on our neighbors and friends for the positive!
#2 is the call to crisis response. Assuming you are healthy and low-risk, we will keep referring you to the links above to get involved with personal aid kits and home visits.

Remember to use the links below if

  • you need help
  • you want to get involved
  • you want to keep connected with the church!
