1 John 4:18 says: There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. Over and over again in scripture we are warned about fear and it’s infectious side effects. Perhaps that is because God knew that it would be a constant side effect of living in a fallen world. Living through a global pandemic, global wars, economic turmoil and unprecedented division, while not a new phenomenon, has given rise to hear these words all the more: “take heart for I have overcome the world!” – Jesus (John 16:33.
